Does it hurt?
The treatment is not meant to be painful but it can be uncomfortable depending on your skin type and pain threshold. It is one of the gentlest forms of skin needling treatments available as the needle heads are made out of plastic. It is so gentle, it can be used around the sensitive under eye area.
Will there be any side effects?
There are no lasting side effects and minimal downtime, however, you will experience redness that will dissipate after 1-2 hours. The skin begins to heal immediately. Once healed this is when the full effects of the treatment are revealed.
If more time is spent on a particular wrinkle or scar, it may take a day for the redness and swelling to subside. Some may experience peeling which is a totally normal side effect.
How often should I have the treatment?
We recommend booking a course of 8 treatments to achieve the desired results. The first 4 treatments will need to be done twice a week for 2 weeks and then once a week for 4 weeks to maintain optimal results.
When will I see results?
Results are often visible straight away after 1 treatment. For deeper lines, it may take 3 to 4 sessions to see clearly visible results.
What aftercare solutions do I use?
An aftercare treatment is provided as part of the treatment package, however, you can continue to use your normal skin care as long as it includes SPF of at least 30. You will benefit more from using a treatment that contains hyaluronic acid. We recommend mineral makeup to camouflage any slight redness immediately post-treatment.
